Light My Bricks, a leader in Lego lighting, was battling a frustrating problem: relentless copycats. They needed a brand identity so strong and unique that imitation would be futile. Rivyl stepped in and didn't just tweak things; we ignited a full-blown brand revolution. From distinctive coloured backgrounds that immediately signalled an LMB product photo, to versatile block elements to hold and organise information, a logo suite built around a dynamic spark motif that stood up and claimed the spotlight, to a smart packaging system that guided builders through an elevated and intuitive unboxing experience, the results a nothing short of game-changing (borrowing the CEO’s own words).

All Rivyl logos are delivered with a Logo Guide where all your logo rules are compiled to make it easy to delegate, deploy and hand over to conYou will receive your Brand Guide (as a PDF and editable Indesign format), a link to your deliverables folder with all of your assets saved out in ready-to-use, industry standard formats.tractors. This includes colour codes and combinations for your logo, the suite of lockups, and spacing rules. You will also receive top-tier, industry-standard assets: the EPS vector files, transparent PNG images, SVG scalable web graphics and your original Adobe Illustrator file, saved out in easy to navigate folders.

Having examples of your existing assets i.e. logo files, brand guidelines, examples of assets you like and don’t, visual styles you like and don’t (either from Behance, Pinterest or real world brands), strategy and target audience information gathered is incredibly handy. We will ask questions on anything additional needed to get an excellent result for you.

You should bring the key decision makers in your team. People you trust to advise, lead, or soundboard the overarching vision for your brand. People who will be candid and open with how you are perceived. Once we progress through approvals and near the completion of the process, we can start to introduce team members who will be responsible for deployment and roll out.

Though this is rare with a thorough briefing process, if it happens, our agreement has provisions for further conceptualisation to ensure satisfaction. Rivyl prides itself on it’s truly collaborative workflow. Unshaken by critique or pessimism, we welcome feedback with open arms and funnel it into bold new ideas our clients prize.

This is a very natural and important concern. Rivyl will conduct a full audit of your existing assets and Intellectual Property as part of our discovery phase. Our goal isn't to replace valuable assets but to strategically build upon your foundation. We will assess what to keep, what to evolve, and how to seamlessly integrate your existing IP into the new branding to ensure a cohesive and powerful brand presence that achieves your goals.

A good visual identity is a strategic asset worth investing in and designed for longevity, but it's not meant to last forever without a refresh. On average, a strong visual identity should be effective and relevant for 7 to 10 years before a brand needs to consider a significant update or redesign. Some factors that may influence this: a pivot to new audience segments, change to your business strategy and industry expansion, adding a linked personal brand or having a very trend-based visual style.
