Cacao Collective makes good health accessible for everyday people wanting to truly nurture their wellbeing. They believe in functional, tasty nutrition and science-backed ingredients minus the caffeine jitters and mid-morning crash. Intentional in every aspect, including social and sustainability initiatives, Cacao is truly a feel-good brand.








When Cacao Collective came to Rivyl they were emerging from start up phase with some success and brand recognition under their belt. Confident in their product, they sought refinement of their aesthetic, help to establish rules and consistency, and to clearly articulate who they are. More of an evolution than a rebrand ready to push into a scaling mode. With this in mind, Rivyl made lightweight changes to their logo to help with readability, linking to the earthy nature of the product and bringing a stronger presence on packaging. We thickened up the font, brought a natural textural shape to the ‘nibs’ element and amplified the character in the wordmark.
These edits to the wordmark allowed Rivyl to extract the ‘C’ with the nibs as a standalone icon, greatly helping the brand with flexibility across a range of physical and digital touch points which are often tricky with a longer brand name. The colour variations can help to visually separate the Cacao products as packaging stickers or simply to pop on top of imagery. A clean logo transition that packs a punch without distraction.






The visual aesthetic for Cacao Collective hinged on bringing a fresh edge to very earthy, grounded colours. Lifting the energy so it didn’t feel too traditional or heavy. Maintaining the recognisable elements in the branding, Rivyl refined the leafy sketches, creating energetic repeating patterns in various colour ways. We added extra nib dot elements, clearer photography direction, plant silhouettes, pastel secondary colours, educational icons and refreshed the fonts to elevate the overall experience. The result is a pop of welcome goodness, a warm, hearty and wholesome brand that is versatile to deploy and stands out in the wellness space.
