ME Lawyers, founded by Michael Emrani is a group of disruptors devoted to simplifying “lawyer-talk” and “legal jargon” and make law easy to understand for everyone, especially focusing on providing legal representation to the Spanish and English speaking community.
When Michael approached Rivyl, he wanted to create a new brand identity that separated them from the same, boring branding that almost every lawyer around him had used. So, how did Michael want to differentiate his brand?
Michael wanted to avoid the industry standard somber and serious look for his brand. In our workshop with him, we discovered that he wanted to change the world’s perspective on lawyers.
He wanted gamified elements to bring a refreshing twist to the ME Lawyers brand. This vibrant, youthful look would match with his message of simplifying legal jargon and alter the way people see lawyers.
Our goal was to create a brand identity that was fun and corporate for Michael and ME Lawyers.
Taking Michael’s words on board, we put on our designer hats to create the perfect match for ME Lawyers.
We experimented with muted red color. But that ran the risk of being monotonous after a while. Not fun. So that was out.
We had to make sure that the visual brand identity represented ME Lawyers’ core message— simplifying legal jargon.
That’s when inspiration hit and we settled on a “mobile app-like” identity. It was refreshing and immediately differentiated ME Lawyers from the rest of corporate-style old-fashioned brand identity.
The simplicity of green, dark-blue and navy color schemes captured the vibrancy and youthfulness of the brand which you can see in the photos below.
