A key part of the project goals was moving away from a cooler scientific feel meant moving away from Cosmology with a new brand name. Ensuring an elegant melding of a warmly neutral but high fashion feel, Iyvos was the perfect fit. This invented word avoids stereotypical feminine associations, allowing the brand to create a world of meaning and sophistication around it. Carefully crafted to be unique, to signal aspiration and status, to drawn on chic European inspired words linked to the founders heritage; Iyvos was born. __________
The logo centred around timeless fluidity. It imparts a calming, luxurious vibe . The detail in the wordmark’s ‘o’ carries through to the icon and forms a design element that is strengthened with pattern, embossing and gold foiling. The form is reminiscent of the product smudge, the outline of a face or a droplet - an iconic yet naturally soothing shape. The font is balanced between sharper lines and curves, balancing the masculine and feminine themes throughout the brand, showcasing both the strength and care Iyvos represents.

Grounded in simplicity and timelessness, a key point of discussion through the re-branding process was the colour palette. Torn between standing out on shelves or blending seamlessly into the home aesthetic of their clientele - Iyvos led the ‘clean girl’ aesthetic before it became Instafamous. Embracing warm shell, beige and espresso tones and offsetting with bright, refreshing photography became their signature style.
